A case of Legionnaires’ disease has been diagnosed in Connecticut.
The state Department of Public Health said a second person suspected of having Legionnaires disease has tested negative.
Earlier this month, a patient at CVH in Middletown was diagnosed with Legionnaires disease, which is a bacterial infection that causes pneumonia-like symptoms.
Both patients are reportedly doing well.
Officials said they see between 50 and 80 cases of Legionnaires disease in Connecticut each year.
