Firefighters battled a structure fire in Hartford on Friday afternoon.
The one-alarm fire was reported in the area of Jackson Boulevard around 1:45 p.m.
Hartford Fire Department said everyone was out of the building and no injuries of people or pets were reported to authorities.
While fighting the fire, the firefighters had to evacuate from structure due to danger of collapse. Once fire was contained from exterior, firefighters went back inside the building.
The fire caused heavy damage to one apartment unit.
Building inspector and fire marshal continuing to investigate the fire.
