Freight train catches fire in Hartford

HARTFORD, CT (WFSB) -

Hartford police said a train caught fire Friday night.

Officials said three rail cars carrying construction debris and wood caught fire on the tracks.

The train was headed to Massachusetts incident occurred near Flower Street.

Police said the fire was contained.

The northbound side of Flower Street is closed.

Officials said Amtrak service was temporarily suspended as well as CT Fast Track buses in the area.

It is unclear how the fire broke out.
