Police in Southington asked for the public's help to find a missing teen.

However, they said 15-year-old Logan Gibbons was found around 9:30 a.m. and returned to his family. He was located in the town of Cheshire.

Police said he was discovered to be missing on Monday shortly after 6 a.m. from his home on Carter Lane.

Police said he left through a bedroom window at some point during the overnight hours.

He was described as standing 5'8" tall and weighing 120 pounds. He has blonde hair and green eyes.

State police said he was last seen wearing grey and black sneakers.

He was also said to have autism.

Police said when he's left home in the past, he was found at various locations around Southington.

They said he's fearful of dogs, loves to swim and has been known to jump into pools in order to cool off if he becomes hot.

Gibbons' family took to social media to ask people to check their backyards and pools.

They also wrote that he loves McDonald's.

A K9 unit was dispatched to help in the search and a Silver Alert was posted. However, the alert has since been canceled.

Anyone with information was asked to call the Southington Police Department at 860-621-0101.
