Hartford police arrest 3 for various drug, weapons crimes

HARTFORD, CT (WFSB) -

Three people were arrested for separate crimes on Wednesday, according to police in Hartford.

Deputy Chief Brian Foley said one involved the pursuit and catch of a convicted felon from East Hartford.

Foley said he had a loaded semi-automatic handgun, a mask and marijuana.

The second involved narcotics detectives arresting a heroin dealer, according to Foley.

The suspect had more than 1,000 bags of heroin on him. Ten thousand dollars in cash and a packing mat were also found at a Manchester hotel, police said.

The third suspect was also arrested on drug charges.

Foley said he had 1.5 kilograms of uncut heroin, which is worth about $80,000 on the street. He also had 100 grams of cocaine, 80 grams of black tar heroin and $1,600 in cash.

The names and exact charges for the suspects have not yet been released.
