UConn football makes numerous changes for game day preparation

EAST HARTFORD, CT (WFSB) -

The University of Connecticut has changed their sports procedures starting with their first football game Thursday.  

Students will be provided free bus transportation to and from all games.

Also, all incoming freshman received a free ticket for the first game day.

Stadium changes are expected as well, including new team and fan content.

They have added the UConn marching band to all games and high energy music.

The home scoreboard received a makeover in preparation for the new season.

 The costs for hot dogs and water was lowered to $3. The school previously charged $5.

All these changes are with hopes of increase attendance, including among their students.

The game will start at 7 p.m. the Pratt & Whitney Stadium in East Hartford.

The Huskies will face off against University of Maine.
