Old Saybrook to open emergency shelter tomorrow

OLD SAYBROOK, CT (WFSB) -

At least one Connecticut town is setting up an emergency shelter in preparation of Tropical Storm Hermine. 

The Old Saybrook High School will become an emergency shelter around 8 a.m. 

Officers will be on hand throughout the day on Sunday. 

 On Saturday afternoon, the Old Saybrook Fire Department raised its the tropical storm flag. Nautical towns such as Old Saybrook use nautical flags.  

The fire department also said "the high tides of Sunday Afternoon, Monday AM, and Monday afternoon can be 2-4 feet above astronomical high tide in our area with a worst case of 3-5 feet above."
