Sit back and enjoy a cold one.
Wednesday is National Beer Lover's Day, according to NationalDayCalendar.com.
The day is celebrated every Sept. 7.
The site said beer predates known history, but as far as United States history goes, early Virginia colonists brewed it. William Penn in Pennsylvania also had a place for brewing in that colony.
Connecticut has its own beer trail, which includes more than 30 breweries, pubs and bars.
Check out some of the breweries on the trail here.
