EAST LYME, CT (WFSB) -

Police continue to investigate after human were found in East Lyme last month.

On Wednesday, police released more information, saying the remains have been identified as those of James M. Balantic, of Danielson.

The remains were found on Aug. 15, near Van Winkle Way in East Lyme.

During a search of the wooded area adjacent to Sleepy Hollow Road, detectives discovered more skeletal remains, police said.

The remains were taken to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner in Farmington to determine the cause of death and identification.
