Drivers looking to take advantage of Department of Motor Vehicle Services at the AAA branch in Cromwell this weekend will be out of luck.

AAA said on Friday that DMV and licensing services will not be available Saturday, Sunday and Monday due to office remodeling.

The stop time is 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Services are expected to resume on Tuesday at the latest.

"We want to make sure everyone gets what they need when they need it so we're letting people know in advance that DMV services will be unavailable from late Friday afternoon until Tuesday morning," said AAA spokesperson Amy Parmenter. "Of course the DMV licensing services we provide will continue to be available to members and non-members alike at all other AAA offices across Connecticut."

DMV Commissioner Michael Bzdyra acknowledged the inconvenience.

"We know this might be an inconvenience for some customers as this update is done, but other AAA and DMV offices across the state will be open to serve them during the normal business hours," he said.
