A 3-month-old baby was killed in a crash on I-395 in Plainfield on Saturday afternoon.
The crash happened on I-395 in the area of Exit 29.
Police said a tractor trailer carrying bread products crashed into the back of a car, which was being driven by 25-year-old Erica Bedard. Her 3-month-old daughter Ciera Dube was in the back seat, in a rear-facing car seat.
Both Bedard and her baby were taken to the hospital, where the child was pronounced dead.
The tractor trailer was being driven by Edward Stratton, of Glastonbury. He was not injured.
The crash remains under investigation. Anyone with information should contact police.
