Bloomfield Police say 13 middle school students were on a school bus when it collided with another car on Tuesday afternoon.

The crash was reported just before 1:30 p.m. at the intersection of Blue Hills Avenue and Farmstead Circle.

Police said a Honda Civic was traveling northbound on Blue Hills Avenue when it drifted across the road’s center line and hit a school bus that was traveling southbound.

The bus was a Windsor School District bus. No injuries were reported involving the students or the bus driver.

The road was closed temporarily.

Police said the driver was a 66-year-old woman from Windsor, who was taken to the hospital with “moderate injuries.”

The students were taken to the Bloomfield Public Schools Board of Education facility after the crash.

The crash remains under investigation.
