The Apple iPhone 7 is hitting shelves on Friday, if they last.
According to T-Mobile and Sprint, the 7 and 7 Plus pre-sales are through the roof.
Both carriers said pre-orders are up nearly four times from the previous two models, the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6s.
On Thursday afternoon, lines had already formed outside the Apple store at Westfarms Mall.
The first few people in line got there at 7 a.m., but the line just kept growing.
If you’re wondering what is different about the phone…black is back with the new iPhone 7 and 7 Plus.
Both phones are water resistant, have improved battery life and features new cameras.
While many are waiting in line, others don’t think it’s worth it.
“I think it’s a little crazy. I’m sorry. It’s just a phone. With all the issues these days, you're going to sit in line,” said Christina Freeze.
Apple isn’t the only store selling the phone. Four other retailers at Westfarms Mall will have them, including T-Mobile, Sprint, Verizon and the AT&T Experience store.
The iPhones aren’t cheap. The iPhone 7 will run you $649 and the 7 Plus is $769.
