HARTFORD, CT (WFSB) -

For the second time during the early morning hours of Tuesday, Hartford firefighters responded to a fire.

The fire broke out at 7 Sisson Ave. around 6:15 a.m.

Firefighters said it was a small fire that started in an apartment kitchen.

Firefighters said the scene was smokey and that the fire was knocked down quickly.

People were evacuated, but no injuries were reported.

Those people are expected to return to their homes soon.

The exact cause of the fire remains under investigation.

The Hartford Fire Department said it responded to an earlier fire at a vacant building on Babcock Street.

It was first reported around 2 a.m.

The building in that fire was expected to come down after becoming unstable.
