Route 9 north in Middletown has reopened after a tanker carrying ink crashed, closing the highway for about an hour on Tuesday.
The closure was on the northbound side near exit 11, and was reported around 2:30 p.m. As of about 4 p.m., the highway fully reopened.
Connecticut State Police said they had been told the truck was carrying ink.
Injuries have been reported, however there is no word on the extent of them at this time.
The cause of crash was under investigation.
