Critics are calling the new television show "Bull" on Channel 3, the next "Good Wife."
The star is a familiar face – Michael Weatherly, who is originally from Connecticut.
“I have a lot of family in Connecticut,” Weatherly said in an exclusive interview with Channel 3’s Dennis House recently. “Growing up in Connecticut, I was on the water so I had a great time. I spent my whole summer on the beach.”
Weatherly grew up in Fairfield and went to Fairfield Country Day School, where he was into sports and music.
That passion took him to Hartford.
“My favorite concert ever was at the Hartford Civic Center in 1983, and it was The Police and REM got booed during that that concert and I was like who is REM, get off the stage, we want The Police and I guess we weren't totally right on that one,” Weatherly said.
One thing he didn’t do in Connecticut as a young man was act.
“I was a dishwasher, I bused tables and I delivered pizzas, but there was no acting,” he said.
Acting later came when he was in his 20s, and led to his role on the hit show NCIS.
In his new show, Weatherly plays Dr. Jason Bull. The show is shot in a studio in Queens, and outside on location.
