MASHANTUCKET, CT (WFSB) -

Police have identified the man who died after he fell from the fourth floor of a Foxwoods parking garage after being shot at.

The man has been identified as Michael Goodale, 23, of Groton.

On Tuesday, the Mashantucket Pequot Tribal police officers attempted to serve Goodale an active arrest warrant inside the Fox Tower parking garage.

However, as they were trying to take him in to custody, Goodale reportedly pointed a firearm at them.

Mashantucket police ordered him to drop his weapon, but he did not comply.

At least one Mashantucket officer fired his duty weapon.

Goodale then fell from the fourth level of the Fox Tower parking garage, onto a paved driveway below.

Goodale was pronounced dead at the scene. No other injuries were reported.

It is unclear if Goodale died as a result of being shot, or the fall.

Foxwoods released a statement on Tuesday, saying "This morning, there was an isolated incident on property in the Fox Tower Garage that was quickly contained by the Mashantucket Pequot Tribal Police; an investigation remains open with the State Police. The safety and well-being of our guests and employees remains Foxwoods’ top priority, and there is no current threat to anyone on the premises. All incoming and outgoing traffic from the Fox Tower Garage is presently restricted, but the rest of the property remains open and accessible to guests. We will update the public when the garage re-opens."
