A man is accused of showing a samurai sword during an incident at a convenience store in Orange.
Police said they arrested 24-year-old Anthony Gray of West Haven.
They said they were called to a Cumberland Farms on the Boston Post Road on Sept. 16 just after 2:30 a.m.
They learned that Gray had entered the story while carrying the sword and asked the clerk for a lighter.
When the clerk told Gray that she didn't have one, he took a lighter from a sales shelf and used it to light a cigarette. He then threw the lighter at the clerk, according to police.
Police found him a short distance away, still carrying the sword.
He was taken into custody and charged.
Gray was charged with possession of a deadly weapon and second-degree breach of peace.
He was held on a $5,000 bond.
