A teen in Old Lyme faces charges for sending inappropriate emails from a teacher's account.
State police said they arrested the unidentified 15-year-old for gaining access to the teacher's email and sending mass emails from it.
Troopers said the teen is a student at Old Lyme High School.
The incident happened on Sept. 7.
State police said over the course of their investigation, they identified the juvenile as the suspect.
Search warrants were applied for and granted to gain access to email accounts.
The teen was arrested on Thursday.
Troopers said they charged him with fifth-degree computer crimes, second-degree harassment and breach of peace.
