ENFIELD, CT (WFSB) -

A family in Enfield woke up late Saturday night to find someone riding a mini motorized bike on their front yard.

The driver took off after the homeowner, on Concord Terrace, said he banged on his front window and ran outside.

On Sunday, the damage was visible on Chris McNeil’s front yard, and now he wants the person responsible to clean up the mess they made.

"I heard a little mini bike getting really close and it sounded like it was slowing down,” McNeil said.

He was in his living room on Saturday night when he heard someone driving a mini bike around his neighborhood.

"I looked out the window, I saw someone driving around my tree and all of a sudden, I see him stop and he's revving the gas and he's digging a rut in my yard,” McNeil said.

McNeil said he banged on his front window, in hopes of scaring the driver away.

"I tried to tap on the window to get his attention, ended up breaking my window,” McNeil said. “He looked at me, and that's when I ran out to my porch here ... And went out this door because he went out the side street."

He turned his porch lights on, headed outside, and tried to get a better look of the rider.

"He did see me, he knows that I saw him, so now we're trying to figure out who did it,” McNeil said.

He said he believes this person has driven by his home on Concord Terrace before, and is in their early 20s.

McNeil added that Enfield police stopped by his house Sunday morning, after he notified officers about what happened.

"If there were multiple reports at least there would be more on record, there's a better chance of catching him,” McNeil said, adding he just wants the person responsible to “grab a shovel, fill in this rut, and put some grass seed on it ... And clean up what he did."

McNeil is asking anyone who has information to come talk to him or police.
