Man killed in Bolton crash identified by state police

BOLTON, CT (WFSB) -

A man killed on a Bolton crash Tuesday night was identified by state police.

Troopers said Anthony Casenelli, 63, of Danielson, died in the four vehicle crash.

State police said it happened shortly after 5 p.m. on Route 6 near the intersection of Johnson Road.

Two vehicles were traveling west, the other two were headed east.

A cause for the crash has not been determined.

Troopers said Lynn Rookey, 54, of Simsbury, was behind the wheel of the first vehicle involved and seriously hurt in the collision. She was transported to Hartford Hospital by way of the Life Star emergency helicopter.

Casenelli, who was behind the wheel of another vehicle, was evaluated by paramedics and pronounced dead at the scene.

The other two drivers were not seriously hurt.

State police said the crash remains under investigation.
