WASHINGTON, CT (WFSB) -

It was a big honor for some Connecticut middle school students.

Students at the Shepaug Valley Middle School, in the town of Washington, got the chance to go to the White House for their part in a film festival contest, and they won.

The students entered their video “The World I Want to Live in” into the White House Student Film Festival contest.

The students from Shepaug were one of 20 finalists in the contest, and their film was the big winner.
