WOODBRIDGE, CT (WFSB) -

The search for an armed robbery suspect in Woodbridge lead to the lockdown at one school and orders to shelter in place at others on Friday morning.

Officials placed Racebrook School on lockdown and students, staff and teachers were ordered to "shelter-in-place" at Amity Junior High Middle and Hebrew Day schools.

The lockdown comes after an unidentified man possibly armed with a handgun robbed a TD Bank branch in Woodbridge.

The canine team from the Milford Police Department along with the Connecticut State Police assisted in the search. The Associated Press reported that Milford Police Officer Steve Napoletano and his KG Mack tracked the suspect to a golf course after the robbery around 10:45 a.m.

Police added there were no other suspects in the case.
