The state said it is offering a $50,000 reward for information that leads to an arrest and conviction of whoever was responsible for a deadly hit-and-run in Norwalk.
Norwalk police said it happened May 11 around 9:30 p.m. on Van Buren Avenue near the intersection of Bedford Avenue.
They said Jaime Lane was one of two people walking in the area who was hit by a gray BMW.
Another male pedestrian was also struck.
Both were transported to Norwalk Hospital; however, Lane died from her injuries.
The BMW was last seen fleeing south on Van Buren Avenue.
Police said they believed it sustained front and right side damage, including a missing right side mirror.
The mirror was found at the scene of the crime.
Anyone with information is asked to contact Norwalk police at 203-854-3035 or at their tip line 203-854-3111.
