MERIDEN, CT (WFSB) -

On Tuesday, Meriden police released surveillance photos of the car believed to be involved in a deadly hit-and-run that happened last Friday.

At about 7 p.m. on Friday, police said the 40-year-old Dania Cegeno-Delrosario, and her 7-year-old daughter Denisse, had gotten out of their car to cross Springdale Avenue at Lewis Avenue in Meriden, when a car hit them.

The car fled from the scene.

The impact pushed Cegeno-Delrosario where she was discovered lying partially underneath a parked, white SUV.

Cegeno-Delrosario was taken via LIFE STAR to Hartford Hospital with serious head and chest injuries. She later died at the hospital.

Police are investigating the case, following up on leads, and searching for the suspect who may be driving a dark-colored Nissan with a missing side mirror.

Anyone with information should contact Meriden Police at 203 630-6215.

A GoFundMe page has been set up and can be found here.
