Another nice day of weather here in Connecticut!

Posted: Updated:

It's another really nice day here in CT. Although there's a little bit more in the way of cloud coverage, it's a rather delightful afternoon.  At noon, the temperature at Bradley was a very comfortable 62 degrees. That number is expected to climb higher, into the upper 60s later today, and that's just a bit above average for this time of year.  The normal high for the 12th of October is 65 degrees.  Changes for the cloudier and wetter are in the forecast for tomorrow, so please read on!

The rest of the day will feature gorgeous autumn weather.  Highs will be a bit milder than yesterday. As mentioned above, those temps will range between 65 to 70 degrees.  While it's partly sunny right now, those clouds will start to increase later tonight, towards tomorrow morning.  A light southerly breeze will be around this afternoon as high pressure drifts to the east of New England.

With the increasing southerly flow, patchy fog and perhaps some drizzle may greet you early tomorrow morning.  Then we anticipate a mix of sun and clouds before a cold front will approaches New England from the west.  The front will likely produce a few showers in the late afternoon and evening hours.  However, any rainfall will be spotty and light.  Prior to its arrival, temperatures could reach 70 degrees, if not a little higher!

In the wake of the front, high pressure again builds into the region from the west, bringing another shot of cooler air.  Highs on Friday should be in the lower 60s under a bright, sunny sky.  It will also be breezy, with a wind out of the north.

High pressure should dominate throughout the weekend – this translates to beautiful weather! You can expect dry conditions and lots of sunshine!  It will be chilly Saturday morning with lows in the 30s and lower 40s; that afternoon, highs will be in the lower 60s.  Sunday should be mostly sunny (clouds increase late in the day)…again temperatures start out in the 30s, then warm to the mid-60s during the afternoon, so a little milder for the second half of the weekend.

A weak storm system could generate a few showers Monday into Tuesday – with growing drought conditions, we need rain, but unfortunately there is very little of it in the 7 day forecast.
