WESTPORT, CT (WFSB) -

A woman was arrested in Westport after police said she ripped off a man with whom she was supposedly on a first date.

Police said 27-year-old Katherine Stonick was on a date with a man while using the name "Sophie."

The victim told police that he and Stonick had dinner at the Finalmente Trattoria on Post Road East back on Aug. 17.

He paid for the meal.

However, Stonick requested a $300 gift card to be paid for with the victim's credit card without his knowledge, according to police.

Police said Stonick apparently excused herself from the table to use the restroom and asked the manager for the gift card.

Stock returned the restaurant on Aug. 18 and 19 to use the card.

The victim was able to provide the license plate of Stonick's vehicle.

He was also able to pick out her photo from a police lineup.

Police said they obtained a warrant.

Stonick turned herself in on Oct. 14 and was released after posting a $10,000 bond.

She's due in court on Oct. 26.
