No injuries reported after fire breaks out at UConn life sciences building

STORRS, CT (WFSB) -

A building at the University of Connecticut was evacuated on Tuesday afternoon after a fire. 

The fire was reported at Torrey Life Sciences Building on North Eagleville Road around 2 p.m. Even though the fire was knocked down, the building remained evacuated as of 2:30 p.m. 

It is unclear how badly the Torrey Life Sciences Building was damaged during the fire. 

No injuries were reported.

Firefighters from the UConn, Tolland, Mansfield and Coventry departments were called to the fire. 

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
