SOUTHINGTON, CT (WFSB) -

Police said they were conducting an extra check of Southington High School when they found a man who'd thrown eggs and ketchup at the building.

They said they arrested 27-year-old Nicholas Dusza after seeing him act suspiciously near the main school entrance.

Police said their investigation found the Dusza allegedly threw eggs and ketchup on and near the entrance windows and surrounding grounds.

They said he appeared to be drunk.

He also gave them no explanation for why he was there.

Dusza simply said he was "blowing off steam."

He was issued a summons for loitering on school grounds and third-degree criminal mischief.

Dusza was given a court date of Oct. 31 in Bristol.
