HARTFORD, CT (WFSB) -

The Hartford Police Department arrested 18 people in connection with buying and selling drugs in the capitol city on Wednesday. 

The arrests come after a day-long operation by the Hartford Police Department Vice and Narcotics Division in the area of Zion and York streets. The investigation comes after "several recent gun related crimes, along with numerous narcotics trafficking complaints." 

During the investigation, a Jennings Model J22 .22 Caliber pistol, two bags of marijuana, a film Suboxone, a bag of crack cocaine, 147 bags and 100 grams of powder cocaine, 23 bags of heroin and $703 were seized by police. 

The following people were arrested by the Hartford Police Department Vice and Narcotics Division: 

  • Eric Mitchell, 40, of Hartford, was charged with possession narcotics. 
  • Jamie Souer, 32, of New London, was charged with possession narcotics and third-degree criminal trespass. 
  • Marissa Foley, 27, of New London, was charged with possession narcotics, operating a motor vehicle under suspension, failure to use turn signal.
  • Luis Martinez, 51, of Hartford, was charged with possession narcotics and third-degree criminal trespass
  • Alexander Roman, 48, of Hartford, was charged with possession narcotics and possession of drug paraphernalia. 
  • Matthew Funk, 41, of New Britain, was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia and third-degree criminal trespass.
  • Walter Vazquez, 47, of Hartford, was charged with third-degree criminal trespass.
  • David Rodriguez,47, of Hartford, was charged with third-degree criminal trespass, possession of narcotics and possession of a controlled substance.
  • Jonathan Reyes, 33, of Hartford was charged with third-degree criminal trespass.
  • Carlos Hernandez, 40, of Hartford, was charged with third-degree criminal trespass, cell phone violation, possession of narcotics and failure to use signal.
  • Anthony Martinez, 22, of New Britain, was charged with third-degree criminal trespass, possession of narcotics and failure to use signal.
  • Anthony Muscillo, 39, of Unionville, was charged with third-degree criminal trespass.
  • Jorge Gonzalez, 43, of Hartford, was charged with criminal possession of a firearm and possession of a controlled substance. Gonzalez has been arrested 27 times.
  • Jorge Valentin, 51, of Hartford, was charged with third-degree criminal trespass and possession of narcotics.
  • Elias Herrera, 45, of Hartford, was charged with third-degree criminal trespass, possession of narcotics, operating without a drivers license and improper signal.
  • Manuel Lozada, 46, of East Hartford, was charged with possession of narcotics and possession of narcotics with intent to sell.
  • Jorge Gonzalez, 52, of Hartford, was charged with possession of narcotics and possession of narcotics with intent to sell.
  • Jose Claudio, 52, of Hartford, was charged with possession of narcotics and possession of narcotics with intent to sell.
