TORRINGTON, CT (WFSB) -

A Torrington employee was arrested after being accused of selling drugs while on the job.

Police said 49-year-old David Sarasin was arrested on Thursday. His arrest stems from an investigation that began in August.

Torrington police received a complaint that member(s) of the Department of Public Works were stealing city owned property.

During the investigation, police said Sarasin was found to have been selling drugs during work hours at the Besse Pool, near Torrington High School.

The pool was open for swimming while the alleged sales were being made.

Sarasin is also accused of selling drugs out of the Parks and Recreation town garage.

Sarasin was charged with sale of narcotics, and sale of narcotics in a school zone. He was released on a $25,000 bond and is expected to appear in court on Oct. 31.

Police said the investigation is ongoing and additional arrests are possible.
