SHARON, CT (WFSB) -

Two men face a number of drug charges after state police said they discovered a marijuana growing operation in the town of Sharon.

Maximillian Rodriguez, 25 and 27-year-old Ronald Rodriguez were arrested on Thursday after troopers found the cultivation operation on the property of 484 Cornwall Bridge Rd.

State police said under a warrant, they seized 5 pounds of process marijuana, 190 marijuana plants and other cultivation equipment from the home.

Both suspects were taken into custody at the scene.

They were charged with possession of drug paraphernalia, illegal sale of a controlled substance, possession of paraphernalia in a drug factory, illegal control substance by a non-drug-dependent person and tampering with physical evidence.

They were held on $50,000 bonds and scheduled to be arraigned in Bantam Superior Court Friday.

Troopers said they are still investigating the case.
