A complaint about a missing man in Shelton led police to find him dead in a drainage ravine.
Police said they responded to 70 Longfellow Rd. just before 11:45 a.m. on Sunday.
They said a caller stated that she could not find her 56-year-old son, Theodore Bortnick.
Police canvassed the area and said they found Bortnick in the ravine, which is located on the property. He was already dead.
The Connecticut State Police Major Crime team responded to the scene to investigate.
While Shelton police said they're actively investigating the death, there's no indication of foul play.
