Elizabeth Waterbury, 57, of Litchfield, was identified as the driver of the SUV.

The crash happened on Route 63 in Litchfield on Sunday around 1:30 p.m.

Alslinn Kern was transported to Charlotte Hungerford Hospital, followed by Hartford Hospital. She died from her injuries.

Waterbury told troopers that there was a motorcycle in her lane and she swerved from it into the southbound lane.

Another rider, 40-year-old Daniel DePaolo, was transported to Hartford Hospital in serious condition and may have to have a foot amputated, according to state police.
