There will be increased security at the mall in Milford on Halloween to make sure children and families stay safe for their annual trick-or-treating event.
The safe Trick-or-Treating event will take place from at Connecticut Post Mall on next Monday. The children, which is for children 12 years old and under, can dress in costumes “for an evening of trick-or-treating at participating stores.”
During the event, trick-or-treaters and their parents will notice increased security on Oct. 31.
“This is a special community, and we want to give families a safe indoor alternative for their kids to enjoy trick-or-treating,” Danielle Reiss, who is the marketing manager for Connecticut Post Mall, said in a statement on Monday. “Safety is a top priority for all of us and we will have increased security at our shopping center.”
After trick-or-treaters fill their bags full of treats, they can go to the center court for music from a live disc jockey.
The event runs 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. at 1201 Boston Post Rd.
Casper the friendly ghost will also host a meet-and-greet from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Level one of the Connecticut Post Mall near Macy’s.
