Hamden High School dismissed early Monday following a threat.
Police said they are investigating the nature of the threat, which was received around 10:15 a.m.
The superintendent's office confirmed the dismissal. It happened at noon.
It said the threat was made by a phone call.
The office said police would be investigating the school grounds throughout the afternoon. Police said two bomb-sniffing K9 units from the New Haven Police Department were said to be helping.
Students were evacuated and brought to the school's stadium. They were dismissed from there.
No other details were released.
