The Enfield Police Department warned residents on Tuesday that it would be conducting "tactical training" near an intersection in town.
It said the training will happen at the intersection of Elm Street and Polumba Drive.
It's set to go down in two buildings slated for demolition.
As part of the training, teams will be using a variety of breaching tactics, which involve weapons and equipment.
Police said they hung door hangers on nearby properties.
It also said an "Everbridge" mass notification message would be sent out to residents later in the day.
