Thursday is National Sandwich Day, according to NationalDayCalendar.com.

It's celebrated every Nov. 3.

The sandwich is believed to be the namesake of John Montagu, 4th  Earl of Sandwich. He claimed to have invented the meal, according to the site.

Still, the exact circumstances of the sandwich's invention remain up for debate.

  • Subway - Free sub with purchase of any sub and drink. The restaurant will donate a meal to Feeding America.
