CHESHIRE, CT (WFSB) -

A teenager accused of groping a woman in Cheshire will face a judge on Friday.

Police said the 15-year-old confessed to one of five incidents that were reported in recent months.

They are investigating to see if he could be responsible for the others that happened over the summer.

This latest incident happened Wednesday afternoon while a woman was out running.

It happened on Strathmore Drive. The victim told police the person grabbed her by her shoulders and reached his other hand between her legs.

Police said the attack prompted them to sort through a number of tips, which eventually lead them to the teen.

Women out for their daily walk or jog have been on edge in Cheshire.

Police said the 15-year-old confessed to assaulting a 46-year-old woman Wednesday afternoon. They're trying to figure out if he's connected to the four other incidents.

In May, a woman was approached and grabbed.

In June, there were two separate incidents, including one on the Linear Trail and in August, a jogger was pushed to the ground before she was able to fight off her attacker.

This 15-year-old is charged with sexual assault and unlawful restraint for the recent case.

He's scheduled to appear in Waterbury Juvenile Court on Friday.
