According to a tweet from Hartford Police Deputy Chief Brian Foley, a 27-year-old man with a gunshot wound to the wrist checked himself into St. Francis Hospital on Saturday evening.
St. Francis Hospital communications and public relations director, Fiona Phelan told Eyewitness News that the hospital is not on lock down, or under any diversion as a result of this victim's admission.
In his tweet, Deputy Chief Foley said the victim is known to police, with 18 previous Hartford arrests.
The victim is also out on parole for a 2013 shooting, Deputy Chief Foley said.
Police are on scene investigating. The name of the victim, or suspects have yet to be released.
