NEW YORK (WFSB) -

Two people have been arrested in connection with the murder of a Stamford man.

Joseph Comunale, 26, was last seen alive on Saturday at a party in New York City. His body was found in Ocean Point, NJ Wednesday morning, 60 miles away from the Grand Sutton Condo building where he was partying.

"We uncovered a substantial amount of blood evidence inside that building, inside the garbage bags and through the garbage chute," said Robert Boyce, chief of detectives.

On Thursday afternoon, police charged 25-year-old James Rackover, of New York, NY and 28-year-old Lawrence Dilione, of Jersey City, NJ with second-degree murder, concealment of a human corpse and tampering with physical evidence. Dilione was also charged with first-degree hindering prosecution.

Police said Comunale left a club with people he had just met to continue the party at the condo on East 59th Street.

Evidence found inside the fourth floor apartment pointed to a stabbing and led investigators to believe a 20-year-old resident was responsible, according to sources.

"We recovered about 32 pieces of evidence at the 59th Street location, blood on the clothing, substantial - we also have what appears to be bleach on that clothing as well, in order to cover up blood," Boyce said.

Blood was found on sheets, clothing and a luggage at the apartment.

"We believe he is a suspect in this homicide," Boyce said. "Right now we're taking statements from other people, collecting a lot of evidence, speaking to people who were there that night at the club [and] at the apartment."

The suspect dragged bags out of his apartment after the alleged stabbing, sources said.

They also said he reportedly asked the doorman how long surveillance footage is kept on file.

Police have not said who they think drove Comunale's body to New Jersey. However, they said blood was found in that car, according to sources.

Comunale is believed to have been stabbed in the chest 15 times.

The Monmouth County coroner's office will determine the exact cause of Comunale's death. An autopsy was completed on Wednesday afternoon.

Investigators said they've also spoken with other people inside the apartment, including, according to printed reports, the son of a celebrity jeweler to the stars who lives in the apartment.
