A Connecticut man was arrested after police said he sexually assaulted two women at a healthcare facility in Wilton.
Police charged 26-year-old Hunter Scott McGinty, of Danbury, was charged with three counts of second-degree sexual assault and one count of fourth-degree sexual assault.
The charges against McGinty come after police received a complaint from Wilton Meadows Health Care Facility on Danbury Road on Monday. Police said McGinty, who is a certified nursing assistant, had "inappropriate contact" with a 82-year-old patient during the "course of his duties."
The woman reported the incident to another certified nursing assistant and then, the facility called the Wilton Police Department.
During their investigation, police learned that McGinty also assaulted a 66-year-old woman at Wilton Meadows Health Care Facility.
Wilton Meadows Health Care Facility officials said McGinty was removed from the building and immediately terminated.
"I want to emphasize that we responded immediately to the disconcerting events involving this individual. He was removed from our premises immediately and we swiftly partnered with the appropriate officials," Ron Bucci with Wilton Meadows Health Care Facility said in a statement on Thursday.
Bucci said the Wilton Meadows Health Care Facility was "troubled" by the arrest.
"The safety and well being of our residents has been and will always be our number one priority. Our organization’s policies, practices and training are all consistent with Federal and local regulation and law. Our team’s response was vigilant in this matter. We swiftly partnered with the Wilton police and the Department of Public Health. They have are full and complete cooperation and we are most grateful for their involvement," Bucci said.
McGinty, who has no criminal record, was being held on a $32,000 bond. He will be arraigned on Thursday.
