UNCASVILLE, CT (WFSB) -

Mohegan Sun has christened a brand new hotel.

The tribe recently opened the 13 story, 400 room "Earth Hotel" on its reservation.

A ribbon-cutting ceremony took place on Friday at noon.

Take a look at some photos of the hotel here.

Officials said it was built by the Connecticut-based A/Z Construction and employs 200 people.

Each guest room includes technology integration with views of the Thames River.

“It’s a clear signal that we are a partnership in this state," said Kevin Brown, Mohegan tribal chairman. "We as a sovereign tribe on our reservation, we’re getting it done. But we can’t get it done without the great partnerships that we have on every level, state [and] local municipal. We appreciate the leaders for coming out and being part of this event.”

The Earth Tower also includes retail space, a pool, a spa and a fitness center.
