ROCKY HILL, CT (WFSB) -

Two children were struck by a motor vehicle in Rocky Hill on Friday evening. 

Authorities said an eyewitness walked to the fire station and stated two pedestrians had been hit by a vehicle on New Britain Avenue near Cronin Drive around 5:30 p.m.

The unidentified pedestrians are between the ages of 12 and 20, authorities said. 

One child is in serious condition. The other doesn't have serious injuries.

Police are investigating the cause of the crash. 

The driver stayed on scene. Police did not say whether the person will be charged.
