Groton PD: Man stole car from gas station

GROTON, CT (WFSB) -

Groton police arrested a man who stole two vehicles Saturday.

Police said they issued an alert about a stolen vehicle around 11:30 a.m.

Around 11:45 a.m. they received a call that the vehicle had been located at a motel. 

At the same time the vehicle was located, 911 received a call about a stolen vehicle from a gas station nearby.

The vehicle was located shortly by police who then chased the suspect as he attempted to flee.

Stonington, Groton and Ledyard police worked to track down the suspect.

He was found hiding in a shed on North Stonington Road in the area of Old Mystic Fire Station.

Jessie Faulkner, 35, of Norwich, was arrested.

He was charged with third degree larceny, interfering with an officer and operating under suspension.
