STAMFORD, CT (WFSB) -

A tribute ceremony will be held Saturday for a Stamford man who was murdered in New York City.

The ceremony will be held shortly before the West Hill alumni game at Terry Connors Ice Rink at 3:30 p.m.

The event is in memory of Joey Comunale, 26, of Stamford, who was stabbed to death in New York earlier this month.

Comunale, 26, was last seen alive on Saturday at a party in the Upper East Side area of the city.

His body was found in Ocean Point, NJ Wednesday morning, 60 miles away from the Grand Sutton Condo building where he was partying.

Police charged 25-year-old James Rackover, of New York, NY and 28-year-old Lawrence Dilione, of Jersey City, NJ with second-degree murder, concealment of a human corpse and tampering with physical evidence. Dilione was also charged with first-degree hindering prosecution.

Comunale is believed to have been stabbed in the chest 15 times.

Former members of the hockey team who played with Comunale are encouraged to sign up and play in honor of him.

There will be no admission fee for fans who attend.

Commemorative wrist bands will be available to honor Comunale.
