CLINTON, CT (WFSB) -

Clinton residents are hoping police arrest those responsible for a rash of car break-ins early Saturday morning. Numerous items were stolen from at least 25 cars town wide, including one mother’s Christmas gifts for her three, young girls.

Eyewitness News spoke exclusively to Clinton resident, and mom of three, Jade Reilly, whose car along with the Christmas presents that she purchased for her daughters earlier that day, said she woke up to a missed call from the New Haven Police.

Police told Reilly that her belongings, including her purse and daughter’s car seat had been ditched on the side of the road. She said she put down her phone to check her driveway, but her car was gone.

"And all the presents in the trunk makes it that much worse," said Reilly.

Reilly spent Black Friday shopping for Christmas presents for her daughters. She bought clothes, games, and dolls.

"About $400 worth of stuff, it's not too much,” said Reilly. “But it is to me when I saved my money."

Clinton police have released images of the suspects they deduced to be responsible, but have yet to make any arrests.

"Just thinking of them, taking my car laughing and having fun in it is even worse,” said Reilly. “I know they don't know how serious it is, to them it’s a game."

Clinton police said they have already received numerous tips and leads, and are encouraging those with information to contact police.

For Reilly, however, she hopes to get her car and the gifts back, and most importantly, she said she hopes that the suspects responsible are arrested.

“What they did was so wrong in so many ways,” said Reilly.
