Cyber Monday is expected to bring in more than $3 billion in sales, according to retail experts.
However, retailers are not just relying on Monday for their online profits.
A change in strategy created a boom worth billions.
Black Friday was just as big for online retailers with sales also exceeding $3 billion.
Analysts called it part of a new strategy where online retailers posted great deals a few days early.
That, in turn, spurred some record numbers over the weekend.
Experts said more than $100 million people shopped online over the Thanksgiving weekend.
Monday, they expect several million dollars more.
"Of the three main shopping days over this holiday weekend, that's Thanksgiving, Black Friday and Cyber Monday, Cyber Monday has been growing the fastest of all three of those," said Joe Colangelo, president, Consumer Research.
While more people are shopping this year, analysts said they are all spending less because of the discounts.
However, they predict over the next 26 shopping days that retail sales will go up by about 4 percent compared to last year. They also predict that overall online sales will increase by as much as 10 percent.
