NEW BRITAIN, CT (WFSB) -

A 26-year-old man was arrested after a robbery, an attempted robbery and a police pursuit that ended in a crash in New Britain on Monday morning.

Kevin Colon, of New Britain, was taken into police custody on Monday.

His arrest comes after police said he robbed the Subway on Farmington Avenue in Farmington around 9:12 a.m. Police said no weapon was seen, but it was implied in the robbery.

Colon then attempted to rob the Dunkin Donuts on Farmington Avenue around 9:17 a.m.

While leaving the parking lot for the Dunkin Donuts, police tried to stop Colon on Farmington Avenue, however he fled the area.

After a police pursuit that went through Plainville and Farmington, the suspect crashed on Slater Road in New Britain.

During the crash, police said Colon hit another vehicle in New Britain. The crash injured a person, but police said that individual was treated at the scene for “minor injuries.”

No officers reported any injuries and police said the suspect was not hurt in the crash and pursuit.

Slater Road was closed between Maplehurst and Hillhurst for the police investigation. The vehicle was towed from scene to the Farmington Police Department for “evidence processing.”

Colon is facing several charges including robbery, larceny, and reckless endangerment.

He is being held on a $250,000 bond.
