Amazon has released a new service that will stop a Grinch in his tracks.
Its bright yellow exterior makes the Amazon Locker hard to miss.
The new device provides users with a self-service delivery location to pick up and return their packages.
Amazon customers are looking forward to using the product.
"I'd use it and I'd also pass the word along for other people to know it is available," Jill Thayer, of Bristol said.
Creators of the device hope it will prove useful in preventing package theft around the holidays.
Recently, a man was caught stealing packages from a front porch on Culver Street in Newington.
In Vernon, another man was caught doing the exact same thing.
"It would be great because you wouldn't have to worry about it," Vernon resident Mike Lynch said.
Once customers receive notification their package has arrived at the closest Amazon Locker, they'll leave a pick up code.
Users can then follow the instructions on the screen of the locker, which will open the door to the package.
Although there's a catch. If it isn't picked up within three days, it gets sent back.
For now, availability could also be inconvenient because there are currently just a few of the lockers in the state.
